Summer is the most precious time to observe and learn about the manifestations of vegetation.
And my way of knowing and reworking plants and flowers is to make footprints of the plants that intrigue me.
So, some leaves and some flowers which I already know the history and properties. They present themselves to me during the walks in the plain of Luni or in Monte Marcello and, due to their particular shape, they attract me and lead me to know them.
Then, crossing the ancient land of Luni and the Caprione promontory (Monte Marcello), some plants attracted me and I made an impression by interpreting each one differently from the other.
The Equiseto, a plant considered a living fossil and growing next to all the ditches and streams around the Amphitheater, the Fico that has chosen the limestone soils around the Magra river as its territory of choice, the Vite growing vine on the territory rich in ancient history and mineral salts, the Camarazza, a pink, aerial and vital flower that I found on the roads that go up to Monte Marcello.
With the imprint, through the shape, the color and the depth, I try to highlight the uniqueness of that plant and its specific nature.
Through the artistic interpretation I want to highlight the specific and unique aspect of this plant.
